Dr. Nichola Dunne

Nichola is the director and principal Chiropractor at Douglas Chiropractic & Physiotherapy Clinic Ltd.  Although born and raised in Kilkenny, she travelled to the UK to complete her BSc. (Hons) Chiropractic degree at the University of Glamorgan in 2001. Nichola went on to become the only chiropractor in Ireland with two distinct chiropractic degrees by completing a separate MSc. Advanced Chiropractic Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Practice degree in 2009 at the University of Bournemouth. Nichola has fully qualified in many additional techniques that she uses as part of her chiropractic practice, including orthotic prescription, dry needling, low-level laser therapy, reformer and mat based pilates and kinesiotaping.


Nichola has a keen interest and vast experience in treating pregnant women and also has a large paediatric practice. Her chiropractic treatment goal is not only to treat and relieve pain but to prevent long-term recurrence through specific exercise prescription and rehabilitation, preventing treatment dependence and promoting an improved quality of life. Nichola established her chiropractic clinic in 2001 and expanded the clinic to include physiotherapy 

services in 2009. She developed the first combined chiropractic and physiotherapy clinic in the county, still the only combined clinic in Munster. She is a fully accredited member of the Chiropractic Association of Ireland, Association of European Chiropractors and a member of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.  Nichola is proud to be part of The Wellness Champions.org - a group of healthcare professionals worldwide that are dedicated to teaching wellness in the workplace.  Nichola lives in Douglas with her husband and two children.  She enjoys running, swimming, reformer pilates and most of all, spending time with her children.
